How does project pricing work?
Pricing is based on the team hours needed to deliver the project and our standard rate sheet. We’ll break down the project and give you an estimate of the hours along with the rates. This estimate then becomes our benchmark throughout the entire engagement.
How do you prevent project overruns?
We’ll do a full project analysis upfront so that we have a project launch date and budget. If, at any time during the project, we discover variables that impact the deadline or budget, we’ll communicate that immediately, and we’ll make a decision together.
Do I own the code and IP?
Yes! You always own the code and IP we create for you, barring any 3rd party licensed code. We’ll discuss purchases of any licensed technology throughout the project so you’re informed about code ownership.
Will you support my application after it's built?
Yes! We have a retainer service just for that. We almost always establish long-term relationships with our clients to support and continually enhance the products we build, except for cases where the client has an in-house team assuming those responsibilities.
What do you turn over at the end of the project?
This depends on what we’re contracted for, but our deliverables often include code, design assets, working infrastructure, and documentation. We also frequently conduct training sessions as needed to hand over important information that our clients need to know about their technology.
What happens if the deliverable has bugs after launch?
We work very hard to minimize this occurrence with robust QA processes and automated test-driven development practices, but software often has rare edge cases and hard-to-spot bugs. So, if you discover a bug shortly after launch, we won’t leave you high and dry. We’ll patch it up for you under our warranty terms that are spelled out in the contract.
